Carassai

Carassai (or Carassà in dialect) is a small Italian town of 1 075 inhabitants in the province of Ascoli Piceno in le Marche. [Carassai map]
The village is located on the ridge that divides the valleys of the Aso and the Menocchia on the top of three hills that rise between the Sibillini Mountains and the Adriatic Sea.
The traditional cuisine of Carassai can offer tourists a rewarding journey in the gastronomy of the Piceno and Marche regions. Carassai’s cuisine reflects the peculiarities of a territory that, in a contained distance, has marked landscape and geographical differentiations.
Unmissable event in the cool summer evenings is the “Sagra della salsiccia” (Sausage festival) in August.
